the Clarasys team

Our business is just as fresh and exciting as it was at the beginning, and we remain dynamic and pragmatic.

Who we are

We have come a long way since we started in 2011 but fundamentally Clarasys’s culture and core beliefs remain the same. Our business is just as fresh and exciting as it was at the beginning, and we remain dynamic and pragmatic.

Our clients’ customers are at the heart of everything we do and we always work at the pace a business demands. However, a few things have changed. We’ve grown a lot and moved a few times too.

Today we have over 180 consultants based in London and Boston working in a range of industries including media and information services, public sector, healthcare, not for profit, professional services, and financial services.

Clarasys was built to be, and still is, agile from the ground up. We use our unique enterprise agile approach to quickly identify and unlock value, providing direction and clarity. It’s a philosophy we like to share with clients to balance the quick wins with lasting transformation while we build capacity and self-sufficiency.

What we do

We are experts in business analysis, programme & change management, process improvement and customer experience. However, being a Clarasys consultant is not just about delivering the same thing over and over again. We provide tailored solutions to our clients using tried and tested methods – designing and delivering lasting change with the customer and end user in mind. And when projects come to an end, our clients are empowered to be self-sufficient.

You will be given the trust and autonomy to deliver. When not working on client, you’ll be able to fulfil your entrepreneurial ambitions helping us grow the Clarasys business. We will listen to your voice and ideas. You’ll have opportunities to work on what matters to you and make an impact on the direction Clarasys takes.

What makes us different

[ Culture ]

Clarasys wouldn’t be the award-winning consultancy it is today without a great team. Our people experience a great work-life balance and are in turn driven by delivering a great experience for our clients. We are agile and have a flat hierarchy, so our people work in teams to share ideas, solve problems and learn together whilst ensuring quick and iterative delivery.

[ Internal work ]

When our consultants aren’t with a client, they make a direct impact on the growth and development of our company. We work in internal teams to contribute to our internal policies and processes, redesign our website alongside a marketing agency, and procure new contracts with providers for collaboration tools.

[ Employee-owned ]

We’ve created an employee-owned consultancy where that’s the norm, not the exception. We work with our clients to understand their challenges and build a solution to achieve sustainable, long-lasting results. We also give our consultants early and ongoing responsibility. ‘Team’ rules over ‘individual’, and development is a part of our fabric, not just a training course.

[ Growth ]

We’re on a constant growth path, which means we are always looking for talented consultants to join our team. We don’t just recruit to fill roles, we recruit great people, to ensure we stay true to our values and culture as we grow.

What is our culture like?

Our purpose statement defines us as an organisation that ‘makes a lasting difference to the way people work, live and grow’. And as a company owned by our employees, we are ultimately a business driven by our people, their passions, goals and development.

We have created a support structure built around coaching that results in our consultants developing in leaps and bounds. We have a flat hierarchy where you genuinely can ask anyone for help and everyone wants to provide it. We have fostered an environment where you are surrounded by motivated, intelligent people who want to get results and help our clients. We get together and unwind at monthly socials (think cocktail-making masterclasses, playing rounders or sometimes just chatting over food and drinks). You will join an environment where you are surrounded by like-minded individuals who you can trust, who will support you, and who you will continually learn from.

What are we looking for in experienced hires?

What are we looking for in experienced hires?

You are someone who wants more from their job and career. For us, the culture, variety and opportunities to learn and develop were crucial factors in our decision to join. We want you to value these as well.

Whether you are at the beginning or part-way through your project or programme, we can take the lead on delivery management, engaging with all internal stakeholders and external partners.

You have excellent academics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You have excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

You have experience working in a team and supporting and coaching less experienced members.

You have a practical understanding of core business processes.

You value weekly coaching sessions as a genuine chance to develop, socials as a chance to get to know your colleagues and pro bono work as an opportunity to give something back.

You are interested in taking on projects internally to help shape the development of a consulting practice area or function.

You are willing to step out of your comfort zone (wherever it is) and take on different types of work. We work on roles ranging from change projects on government programmes to data analysis on marketing systems.
