As interesting as that is, what does that mean for those in the US?

In this blog, we talk about what makes Clarasys US special, and how we bring the culture and attitude that made us such a great place to work in London, to Boston.

A brief history of Clarasys in the US:

The Clarasys US office was founded in 2019 to support the needs of our clients who were asking for a Clarasys US-centric team to support projects in the Americas. Over the past three years, we’ve grown from a two-person team, working on a number of interesting projects spanning the breadth of Clarasys’s capabilities.

But what makes Clarasys different?  Here are the thoughts from one of our US consultants Matt Mourges.

What makes Clarasys different?

Clarasys loves to say we put our people first and trust them to do the right thing, and it’s refreshing to be able to say they practice what they preach. From day one, I’ve felt included in shaping the culture and direction within the US office. Be it the monthly updates from leadership on how we’re doing to helping decide where we want to open a second location and having a say in which projects to join, Clarasys listens to and respects their people. And while we have a smaller group than the UK, it really feels as though we are one collaborative firm, sharing projects, ideas, and internal initiatives.

Our response to COVID truly reinforced our ‘people first’ belief. From the early days of the pandemic, a commitment was made to take care of our people – and ensure nobody was ‘let go’. As COVID stretched longer and longer, the firm’s commitment never wavered, and as we find ourselves looking towards the future, it’s encouraging to say everybody was retained. Now we’ve adopted a flexible working model that allows people to work in a location and way that best suits them.

The Clarasys culture is one that bucks the consulting norm of 10 hour days and four nights away from home every week. There’s a mindset within the company, “If you treat people well, a lot of other things take care of themselves.” Every employee has a dedicated coach to help them grow, not only into the best consultant they can be but the best well-rounded person. Be it a new discipline one wants exposure to, an issue to work through on a project, or during the past year and a half during lockdown, a general wellness check, Clarasys invests in their people to make work the best experience possible.

Even now, when deciding to move out of the consulting world, Clarasys have stayed true to their mantra, and have been nothing but supportive in the transition. It wasn’t an easy decision to leave Clarasys, largely because I will miss my colleagues turned close friends and the culture that has supported me through my entire journey.
