Case Study

NSPCC

[ Defined ] vision and operating model design principles

The NSPCC wanted to define its 5-year vision for Children’s’ Services and develop a target operating model that would deliver on that vision. Multiple stakeholders had differing perspectives on the desired future for Children’s services.

The current operating model had been designed to deliver the previous strategy and it was no longer fit for its purpose.

We engaged stakeholders in order to understand their perspectives in preparation for a series of workshops. We designed, delivered and captured the outputs from a series of half-day workshops with the senior leadership team.

We remained independent throughout the process of defining a vision, setting design principles, generating target operating model options and converging on one of them.

  • One vision shared by all members of the senior leadership team
  • A set of design principles for the Target Operating Model that will inform lower levels of its design and implementation
  • A high-level TOM aligned to the Vision and Strategy of Children’s service
